Configuring Windows Mail (Windows Vista)

Windows Mail - Windows Vista allows you to add a new email account to your existing profile.

This means you do not have to replace your current settings in order to send and receive Your Company’s Mail messages. Here's how:


1. From the Tools menu, choose "Accounts."

 



2. Select the "Add" button.

 




3. Choose from the options "E-mail Account".

 




4. Type your name in the space provided. This is what will appear to someone when they receive an E-mail message from you.

 




5. In this screen put your e-mail address.




6. Select "POP3" to answer the question "Incoming e-mail server type."
7. In the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP server) box, type "mail.domain.com"
8. In the "Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name" box, type "mail.yourisp.com" Click "Next."




9. Now for the "E-mail username", you need to put your complete e-mail address. followed by the password for your e-mail account. Click next when you have completed this step.







10. Congratulations you have created your e-mail account in Windows Mail. Click finish to complete the process.
