Configuring Additional Account to Outlook 2010

Follow the instructions below to add an account to Outlook 2010 for use with your Quantum Networks POP3 E-mail account


1. When you open Outlook First Click on the "File" tab on the top menu. Then click on the "Add Account" button.

On the Account Setup screen, Click the option "Manually configure server settings or additional server types", then click next to continue.

 

3. Choose the First option that appears which is "Internet E-mail" and click Next to continue.

 


4. Follow the example below to fill in the this section, each field is numbered and there is an explanation of each of the fields below the image.


1. First enter your name the way you want it to appear when someone receives your e-mail.

2. In the E-mail Address box, enter your E-Mail address.

3. Choose POP3 for the Account Type

4. In the Incoming mail server box, enter "mail.yourdomain.com", replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain.

5. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type your outgoing mail server information this is provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). If you do not know it contact them and ask them for your SMTP Settings and put it in this line.

6. In the User Name box, enter your E-mail Address (username only will not work it has to be your complete email address).

7. In the Password box, enter your Account Mail password.

8. Put a checkmark in the Remember password box if you don't want to enter it every time Outlook opens

9. Make absolutely certain that the box labeled "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" is NOT checked.

10. BEFORE clicking "Next", click on "Test Account Settings". This will allow you to make sure the information you entered will work with our servers. If the test fails, check your settings per step 1 above then repeat the test until it is successful, if you are still having problems contact us at

Finally Click Next and Finish your Configuration is now complete


NOTE: *mail.YourISP.com* means your internet service provider like bellsouth.net, earthlink.net, comcast, AOL will not work with outlook when sending out. If you do not know your SMTP outgoing settings contact your Internet Service Provider and ask them for it. You can also Google your Internet Service Provider's SMTP settings by searching for something like their company name followed by the words "smtp settings". ie comcast smtp settings.
