1. First login to your cart by following the instructions e-mailed to you. In order to add a product correctly you need to first create the category for the product you will be adding. Adding your categories is the first and most important step. Click on the "Manage Categories" on the first menu named "Products" that appears to the left of the screen.

Adding a Category: If you have a men's fragance named "Geoffrey_Beene" for example and you did not have any other fragrances from this manufacturer then you would just add the the category "Geoffrey_Beene. Please keep in mind that you should not have spaces in the category names. If a name has two words then you need to put the underscore symbol "_" between the words to make it work correctly. Also you can't put the symbol "&" to represent the word "and" in the category name. Below is a right and wrong sample.

Adding a Subcategory: Adding a subcategory is used for example when you have a product brand which has different models. for this tutorial we will use the example below from one of our demo stores
(http://www.qnetww.com/democart/perfumedemo/online_store/commerce.cgi). First you would need to add a category "Men's_Fragrances" once you do this then you are ready to add the subcategories. As the sample below shows you need to repeat the category name followed by the symbol "!" and then the subcategory name. You will need to repeat this step for every subcategory that you want to appear under the main category. The sample below shows a few subcategories created under the category "Men's_Fragrances". You can do a test on your store so you can see how it works.
